If you live between branches, or outside these areas or outside Michigan, call any branch. If Ele’s Place is not the right fit, staff offer other resources or a referral.
Offices open Monday–Thursday 9am–5pm, Friday 9am–1pm (Eastern). Voicemails are returned the same or next business day.
Ele’s Place is not a crisis line. If someone is in danger, call 911. If you are thinking about suicide, call or text 988.
Who groups are for
- Children and teens, ages 3–18, in peer groups with other kids.
- Caregivers, in their own group at the same time.
- Young adults ages 18–26: a monthly virtual group (3rd Monday of the month, 6–7 PM, on Zoom, pre-registration required) is listed on the Ann Arbor and West Michigan pages of elesplace.org. Call to ask about it.
- Schools: a student, a teacher or a whole grade was affected by a death. See Ele’s Groups at school.
- Clinicians, physicians and funeral homes who want to refer a family.
- Friends and relatives. You are welcome to call for information.
When you call Ele’s Place
- You reach a clinical program staff member who specializes in grief. If you get voicemail, program calls are returned the same or next business day.
- Share as much or as little of the story as you want.
- Together you decide if Ele’s Place is the right fit, and if this is the right time.
- Enrollment forms are sent only to a parent or legal guardian. Friends and relatives are welcome to call for information.
- After the forms come back, the family is welcomed to an intake.
- If this is not the right fit, staff offer other resources or a referral.
