What a night at Ele’s Place feels like
The scariest part is not knowing the shape of the evening. Here is the outline, written for the adult who is driving.
For the grown-up
- You call first. The conversation about the death, as much as you want to share, happens on the phone with clinical program staff. You decide together if a group is the right fit.
- The family splits, on purpose. Children and teens meet with peers. Caregivers meet in their own group at the same time, led by a licensed clinician.
- Trained volunteers facilitate the children and teen groups, with staff oversight.
- There is no fee. Families stay for as long as they need.
Ready when you are. Not before.
A phone call can end with “not yet.” You do not need an appointment.
